When you open PC Desktop cleaner, it scans your desktop and shows a list of existing files and folders.
Using the defined rules, the program suggests an action
to be taken for each item. The actions can be:
- Leave on
Desktop
- Delete
- Move to Recycle
Bin
- Archive
- Move to Folder (the destination folder shows
then in the “destination” column).
Advice: decide wich items do you want to keep on your desktop. Using the steps described next, select "Leave on Desktop" for all of them and select "Archive" for the rest. Next time you clean PDC will remember that you like those items on desktop and the process will be very easy.
To change the selected action for an item, right click on it and a popup menu will appear. Then click on the desired action.
When you select the action "Move to", you need to tell PDC where do you want to move it. You can select a destination folder or choose one of the folder that PDC offers wich contains:
Hold the CTRL (Control) Key and click over the desired items. Then right click over any of them and the popup menu will appear. Then click on the desired action.
Once you have selected the desired action for all the
items. Press the Clean
button, a confirmation screen will appear; you must check
it and press OK. Once the process ends your desktop will be clean and only the
items you selected will remain on desktop.
After you have cleaned your desktop with PDC, you can always find easily cleaned files and folders.
